Inlays, onlays and overlays are considered \"indirect\" fillings because, like crowns, they are made in a laboratory. This means that a patient will need at least two visits: one visit to clean the cavity and take an impression, and a second visit to bond the inlay\/onlay\/overlay.<\/p>\n<p>The choice between direct or indirect filling is made by our dentist.
